I know that many of you have been wondering what I've been up to for the past few months, and this is it!
I've started my own company, called Cricket&Blue, and I specialize in custom handmade horsehair jewellery. The company is named and was founded in honour of my friends' mares, Cricket and Blue, who passed away this summer. Cricket&Blue is the recipient of the 2011 Summer Company award for student entrepreneurs from the provincial government of Ontario.
All bracelets are made using only the finest .925 sterling silver hardware (and for those of you with metal allergies, these are safe! I know because I have the worst metal allergy, and am even allergic to "allergy-free" jewellery) and genuine horsehair.
Featured above is a sneak-peak of the new Hickstead bracelet in black (left), dark mix (middle), and bright chestnut (right; from a client's horse). While all three bracelets pictured have been spoken for, Hickstead bracelets are available for $95, and are named in honour of Eric Lamaze's famous stallion, who tragically passed away this November 6th.
